A Quick Announcement About COVID-19

Dutchess County Soil & Water Conservation District would like everyone to know what we are very concerned about protecting our customers and staff from the COVID-19 virus.

We are open for business, but the front door will be locked for now. In order to protect employees from the COVID-19 virus, as of March 16, 2020, we were instructed to no longer allow visitors into USDA facilities who have not been screened and approved.

For everyone's safety, we are temporarily suspending walk-ins into our office until at least March 30th, at which time we will re-evaluate the situation. At this time all gatherings, meetings and events have been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later time.

Most of you conduct business with us via phone or email. We strongly encourage you to continue that practice and contact us via phone or email for any requests.

Please read the following questions. If you answer “yes” to any of them, then please do not come to the office and call us for assistance:

1. Do you feel sick, feverish, have a nagging cough or are experiencing shortness of breath?

2. Have you travelled to or been in close contact with anyone who has travelled to a high-risk Corona Virus area domestically like New York City or Washington State or traveled out of the country in the last 14 days?

3. Have you been in contact with someone who has been quarantined or diagnosed with the Corona Virus (COVID-19)?

Please do not enter the office if you answer “yes” to any of these questions.

Thank you.

We anticipate a few modifications to our upcoming seedling sale on April 24th and 25th. Firstly, to ensure the safety of our staff and customers we will not selling surplus stock and ask that you refrain from entering the tent. The event will become pick up only.  Additional measures will be taken to ensure social distancing, such as curb side pick up of your orders. Customers please look for your order confirmations and additional information in the U.S. mail in the weeks to come.
